New DTM page: Interview with Pat Zimmerli.

The Patrick Zimmerli Quartet with John Hollenbeck, Chris Tordini and me performs at LPR on Saturday September 10 and at Ars Nova Workshop in Philadelphia Sunday September 11. The repertoire is an hour-long Zimmerli suite called Clockworks, a commission from Chamber Music America’s 2015 New Jazz Works Program. Also in September, the very great Reid Anderson has a residency at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn. Reid will not be playing the bass but will be manning a computer, offering original compositions that interact with a live improvisor, in this case Andrew D’Angelo. The others on the card will be offering unexpected spice. Recommended.
